Founded in 2012, Jinkang Automobile is a fully-funded subsidiary of Chongqing Sokon Group for its new energy electric vehicle ambitions. It is dedicated to making smart electric vehicles, by integrating global top resources and strengthening our core advantages in world-class electric power-trains, super products and intelligent manufacturing. It is located at the National Yufu Industrial Park of Chongqing’s Liang Jiang New Area, with a registered capital of 1 billion RMB. Now over 500 people work for Jinkang and 300 of them are R&D technicians.

Jinkang was granted the permit by the Chinese government for the production of new energy passenger vehicles in January of 2017, making itself the very first car maker in central and western China with independent capabilities for new energy passenger vehicles. Jinkang enjoys global operations in “7 locations of 4 countries” in China, the USA, Germany and Japan, with global leading core technologies in electric power-train systems, intelligent and light-weight applications, which aim at a holistic and cross-border NEV road-map.

At present, inspired by Industrialization 4.0 and Made in China 2025 strategies, Jinkang is building a digital factory in Liang Jiang New Area that aspires to be a leader in China and first class player in the world, with 5 processes available-stamping, BIW, painting, general assembly and battery pack. Jinkang enjoys a whole set of equipment for the production and testing of the core components in the electric power-train systems. Our intelligent full value chain systems contribute to the manufacturing of the middle and high end pure electric passenger vehicles.
